The Natural Realm
The world we live in operates according to natural laws we all accept as unchanging and operational. Laws such as gravity, time, rotation of the earth, the distance from the sun, just to name a few.
The Spirit Realm
The bible is the word of God and in it, God reveals the laws of the spirit realm. Too often we read scripture and never realize that we have just encountered one or more of His laws. The Spirit Realm is eternal. The Natural Realm is temporary. In this study we will now identify these laws.
The Word Of God
On one hand, we will take a closer look at the word of God.
Spiritual Laws
On the other hand, we will see the laws God has put in place that govern the way His power and authority are manifested.
Philippians 2:10-11
11And that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.
Spiritual Law
Power and authority reside in the name and person of Jesus. The name above all names!
Romans 3:27
27Where is boasting then? It is excluded. By what law? of works? Nay: but by the law of faith.:
Spiritual Law
The law of Faith is a gift from God, given to us through His grace. We did not work to earn it.
Romans 8: 2
2For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus hath made me free from the law of sin and death.
Spiritual Law
The law of life in Jesus Christ provides eternal life.
The law of sin results in eternal death.
Life in Jesus frees us from the law of sin and death.
Revelation 3:20
20Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me.
Spiritual Law
Jesus is calling us. We need to respond. The calling only produces results when we respond in faith.
Romans 6: 23
“For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.”
Spiritual Law
Sin does not make you less, it destroys you.
Malachi 3:2-3
Spiritual Law
The righteousness of God will transform us by His grace.
Romans 7: 22-23
Spiritual Law
The inner man is in conflict with the desires of outer man.
Romans 8:6-8
6 For to be carnally minded is death; but to be spiritually minded is life and peace.7 Because the carnal mind is enmity against God: for it is not subject to the law of God, neither indeed can be.8 So then they that are in the flesh cannot please God.
Spiritual Law
The carnal mind is in opposition to God.
Proverbs 18:20-21
20 A man’s belly shall be satisfied with the fruit of his mouth; and with the increase of his lips shall he be filled.21 Death and life are in the power of the tongue: and they that love it shall eat the fruit thereof.
Spiritual Law
There is power in the words we speak. Choose your words wisely. They can be used for both good and evil. Blessings and curses are activated by our words.
Mark 11:23
23 For verily I say unto you, That whosoever shall say unto this mountain, Be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea; and shall not doubt in his heart, but shall believe that those things which he saith shall come to pass; he shall have whatsoever he saith.
Spiritual Law
Speak to the troubles in your life. Demons respond when spoken to.
James 1:5-8
5If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that giveth to all men liberally, and upbraideth not; and it shall be given him.6But let him ask in faith, nothing wavering. For he that wavereth is like a wave of the sea driven with the wind and tossed.7For let not that man think that he shall receive any thing of the Lord.8A double minded man is unstable in all his ways.
Spiritual Law
The law of double mindedness. A double minded man is unstable in all his ways.
You can’t believe and pray for one thing and act in a contrary way, expecting to see God to move in your life.
1 John 5:10-14
10He that believeth on the Son of God hath the witness in himself: he that believeth not God hath made him a liar; because he believeth not the record that God gave of his Son.11And this is the record, that God hath given to us eternal life, and this life is in his Son.12He that hath the Son hath life; and he that hath not the Son of God hath not life.13These things have I written unto you that believe on the name of the Son of God; that ye may know that ye have eternal life, and that ye may believe on the name of the Son of God.14And this is the confidence that we have in him, that, if we ask any thing according to his will, he heareth us:15And if we know that he hear us, whatsoever we ask, we know that we have the petitions that we desired of him.
Spiritual Law
We shall receive what we ask for only if:
1. We believe on the Son of God
2. To receive eternal life one must be in Jesus.
3. One asks according to His will.
4. We search the scriptures and find His will for your life. *

Spiritual Law
The law of Christ.
Believers are to provide spiritual support for one another.
2 Corinthians 10:12-14
12 For we dare not make ourselves of the number, or compare ourselves with some that commend themselves: but they measuring themselves by themselves, and comparing themselves among themselves, are not wise.13 But we will not boast of things without our measure, but according to the measure of the rule which God hath distributed to us, a measure to reach even unto you.14 For we stretch not ourselves beyond our measure, as though we reached not unto you: for we are come as far as to you also in preaching the gospel of Christ:
Spiritual Law
A christian does not boast about things that are beyond their God-given ability.
Mark 1:40-41
40 And there came a leper to him, beseeching him, and kneeling down to him, and saying unto him, If thou wilt, thou canst make me clean.41 And Jesus, moved with compassion, put forth his hand, and touched him, and saith unto him, I will; be thou clean.
Spiritual Law
Notice that the healing required the willingness of the healer and the faith (belief) of the one being healed. The leper bowed his knees before the Lord in humble faith. The healer simply touched the leper and spoke the words of healing.
Mark 6:4-6
4 But Jesus said unto them, A prophet is not without honour, but in his own country, and among his own kin, and in his own house.5 And he could there do no mighty work, save that he laid his hands upon a few sick folk, and healed them.6 And he marvelled because of their unbelief. And he went round about the villages, teaching.
Spiritual Law
Another illustration of healings being dependant on belief. Here we see that unbelief caused only a few to be healed. These people let their familiarity with Jesus, as a normal man from their village, from placing faith in Him as their messiah, sent with power from God.
Luke 17:12-19
12 And as he entered into a certain village, there met him ten men that were lepers, which stood afar off:13 And they lifted up their voices, and said, Jesus, Master, have mercy on us.14 And when he saw them, he said unto them, Go shew yourselves unto the priests. And it came to pass, that, as they went, they were cleansed.15 And one of them, when he saw that he was healed, turned back, and with a loud voice glorified God,16 And fell down on his face at his feet, giving him thanks: and he was a Samaritan.17 And Jesus answering said, Were there not ten cleansed? but where are the nine?18 There are not found that returned to give glory to God, save this stranger.19 And he said unto him, Arise, go thy way: thy faith hath made thee whole.
Spiritual Law
There is more to being healed than just the healing itself. Here we see 10 lepers who know Jesus is capable of healing and they called out to Him. Of the 10, only 1 returns to Jesus to glorify God and give thanks. Only this one is acknowledged by God for His faith.
We must always act in faith and give God the glory.
Galatians 6:7
“Be not deceived; God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap.”

What we sow takes time to grow.
John 14:12-13
12Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me, the works that I do shall he do also; and greater works than these shall he do; because I go unto my Father.13And whatsoever ye shall ask in my name, that will I do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son.
Spiritual Law
The law of spiritual powers and authority. Spiritual power lies in the name and person of Jesus Christ our Lord. Believe in Jesus and you will do greater works in His name so that the Father may be glorified.
Matthew 12:43-45
43 “When an impure spirit comes out of a person, it goes through arid places seeking rest and does not find it. 44 Then it says, ‘I will return to the house I left.’ When it arrives, it finds the house unoccupied, swept clean and put in order. 45 Then it goes and takes with it seven other spirits more wicked than itself, and they go in and live there. And the final condition of that person is worse than the first. That is how it will be with this wicked generation.”
Spiritual Law
The law of spirit behavior.
The bible tells us that evil spirits seek rest among human bodies.
Those with evil spirits can cause them to be removed or have them removed.
Once evil spirits are removed, you become available for their return as long as your body is left undefended.
Spirits, have the ability to assess an opportunity to make your situation worse than it was in the beginning.
Philippians 4:8
8Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things.
Matthew 24
9 “Then they will deliver you up to tribulation and kill you, and you will be hated by all nations for My name’s sake. 10 And then many will be offended, will betray one another, and will hate one another. 11 Then many false prophets will rise up and deceive many. 12 And because lawlessness will abound, the love of many will grow cold. 13 But he who endures to the end shall be saved. 14 And this gospel of the kingdom will be preached in all the world as a witness to all the nations, and then the end will come.
Spiritual Law
Here, Paul summarizes this study perfectly. To fully understand God’s laws for the spirit realm we must read God’s word, study it, meditate on it and let the Holy Spirit guide us in our understanding. Once we understand these principles we must put them into practice in order to see God work in our lives.
Spiritual Law
1. Followers of Christ will face tribulation.
2. Followers will be betrayed.
3. False prophets will deceive many.
4. He who endures to the end will be saved. We must persevere, and be faithful our entire lives in order to be saved.
